The name Epson is definitely not new to the Consumer Electronics market, a matter of fact the very first printer I used was made by Epson, you know those dot matrix printers, yeah and it was quite reliable that’s why the minute we received the Epson EX7200 Multimedia Projector we knew it was a good product. Epson just released this Projector in early September to its EX-Series and is targeted at Business-oriented users. We have been playing around with the EX7200 for the past two weeks and we must admit that we are impressed with our findings. The first thing that really wowed us it how easy it is to setup the EX7200. On the listing of specifications its says USB Plug & Play but didn’t really believe until we plugged on the VGA Cable and connect to a PC in the office and there is was, we could see the computer’s display being projected on the wall without the need to navigate the menu. If you are connecting without the VGA Cable, using its USB port its just as easy. There is also a Another great feature that is targeted at business-users is its capability to project Images and documents directly from any USB Flash Drive or external Hard Drive. Image that you are in a meeting and just before its time to make your presentation, you realize that your notebook is not operating as it should be, just plug your USB Flash Drive in and start your presentation using the infared Remote Control.

BenQ is ready to release a new projector from the MX series. Known as the BenQ MX761, this projector boasts a 4200 lumens brightness, a 5300:1 contrast ratio and can project a 70-inch image from 2 meters away. Measuring 290mm x 128mm x 252mm and weighing 3.3kg, the MX761 projector is also 3D-ready. BenQ will launch the BenQ MX761 on December 10th, 2010 for 188,800 Yen ($2,283).

ViewSonic unveils its new Pro8200 Home Theater Projector which belongs to its Pro 8 projector series. The ViewSonic Pro8200 offers Full HD 1080p resolution along with other great features including the capability to project images ranging from 30-inch to 300-inch, it has a throw distance of 0.9m to 10m, a 2,000 lumens brightness, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, it has a PW980 video processor from Pixelworks and two HDMI 1.3 inputs with HDCP. Sony has unveiled a new Home Theater Projector dubbed the VPL-VWPRO1 2D home theater projector. The Sony VPL-VWPRO1 SXRD utilizes the SXRD technology and features a Full HD 1080p resolution, it offers 1300 ANSI lumens and the Advanced Iris 3 technology that delivers a high dynamic contrast ratio of 85,000:1. The Sony VPL-VWPRO1 also includes an AMX Device Discovery Beacon and is Control4 Certified. The Sony VPL-VWPRO1 Front Projector, is bundled with an additional lamp, and will be available in Early October for about $3,400 through Sony authorized installers and specialty dealers around the country.

In addition to the H9030FD and the D8300 Projectors, Vivitek announces the availability of its new high-end home cinema projector dubbed Vivitek H9080FD. It is based on DLP technology and has features including a LED light source that offers a 800 lumens brightness, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, 1.85 to 2.4:1 throw ratio, a 1.3:1 manual zoom ratio and a Full HD 1920x1080p resolution. The Vivitek H9080FD offers up to 20,000 hours of operation, it is equipped with Gennum 9450 video processor, it utilizes the Single 0.95-inch DMD DLP Technology by Texas Instruments, plus there are also a variety of connectivity options. The connectivity inputs includes two HDMI 1.3 inputs, VGA, composite, component, S-video inputs, two 12V Trigger and a RS-232c port. There has been no pricing information announced, and so far don’t know when it will be available if it isn’t already available.
