Toshiba Battery-powered TVs For Southeast Asian Nations

Toshiba has decided to release their latest Power TV series, which is targeted to ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Available in 24-inch (PB1), 32-inch (PC1) or 40-inch (PS1) models, these battery-powered TVs provide its owners with the basic information needs during Typhoon seasons and during blackout. Priced at between $190 to $400, the Toshiba Power TV series comes with a LED panel and an internal battery, which is capable to provide enough juice for up to 2-hour.

The Pure Twilight Alarm Clock is touted as the world’s first combined dawn simulator lamp and digital radio that brings together the best in light therapy and the choice and ease-of-use of digital radio to deliver the ultimate bedside experience. This alarm clock comes with several alarm settings, giving the user the choice of waking to a tone, a digital radio, an FM radio, or special alarm tones including “church bell” and “cockerel”; or natural sounds including “wind chimes”, “dawn chorus” and “cicadas”. The device also uses several bright LED lights to mimic a gentle sunrise before the alarm kicks in, allowing you to slowly wake up instead of being jolted up by a nasty alarm. Mitsubishi Electric has announced its upcoming 9-inch LCD LED-Backlit Display that comes with a 960×540 quarter high definition resolution and is targeted at the mobile TV market. Perfect for Family outings or people on the go, it features a 400cd/m2 brightness, a 1000 : 1 contrast ratio, 8ms response time, a 170-degree viewing angle and white LED backlighting. The new LCD display goes with the model name AA090AA01 and measures 217.0 (W) × 130.0 (H) × 9.5 (D), it is expected to be launched on the market starting December 1st, no pricing information has been launched.

Folks in Japan are now able to buy the Malata T2 tablet, which is powered by the Google Android 2.2 Froyo OS and a 1GHz nVidia Tegra2 Cortex-A9 Dual Core processor. The gadget also has a 1GB of RAM, a 16GB of internal memory, a 10-inch (1024 x 600) display screen, a microSDHC slot (up to 32GB), GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Wi-Fi, a 1.3MP camera and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support. The Malata T2 is priced at 49,800 Yen or around $592.

Buffalo is bringing you their newest gaming keyboard, the BSKBC02BK. Adopting the simultaneous multiple key recognition technology, this wired keyboard comes with 109 keys, a USB 2.0/1.1 connection interface and is compatible with the latest game consoles such as PS3 and Nintendo Wii. Amazon has started selling the Ematic E5 4GB MP4 player and digital camera combo. The gadget allows you to watch videos and display photos on its 2.4-inch color LCD screen, while its 5-megapixel digital camera enables you to record videos and capture pictures. You can even listen to your favorite FM stations and record them. Additional specs include a voice recorder, a built-in microphone and an e-book reader. Available only in black, the Ematic E5 4GB MP4 player and digital camera combo retails for just $30 a pop.

BenQ Japan has introduced two new members from its MX projector series, the MX710 and MX711. The BenQ MX710 provides a 2700 Lumens brightness, while the MX711 is rated at 3200 Lumens. Both models can display a 65-inch 1024×768-pixel image at two meters (6.5 ft), with input from VGA, HDMI, S Video, RCA composite and Ethernet port. There is also a USB port, so you can display JPEG, GIF, TIFF and PNG files without the need of a computer. The BenQ MX710 and MS711 are priced at 79,800 Yen ($949) and 89,800 Yen ($1,068), respectively.

Mustek ScanExpress S324 Portable

Mustek has revealed its new Portable Full Page Scanner, dubbed the Mustek ScanExpress S324 which is claimed to be the only full page portable that comes with a 2.4-inch LCD color display used to preview images before scanning. It scans photos and documents up to 8 1/2 x 11-inch and as small as 3 x 5-inch and scans at up to 300 dpi resolution. The ScanExpress S324 saves all scanned documents as a JPEG image file and stores them on a SD or MMC memory card which are both supported by the device in sizes up to 4GB. The device also comes with a software that converts scanned documents to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word or PDF documents. The S324 comes with a mini USB port for PC connections to the device and it is presently available for $169.95 exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer.
