QNAP is ready to release the new NMP-1000P networked media player, which is an upgrade version of the NMP-1000. The gadget is powered by Sigma Designs’ latest 667Mhz processor, which is capable of full 1080p HD video alongside Dolby and DTS multi-channel surround sound. This gadget can double as NAS device, for file sharing and PC backup (compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux), when equipped with a 3.5-inch SATA hard drive. What’s more, the NMP-1000P can also stream files from network shares when files are available via DLNA/UPnP, SMB, and NFS. The new QNAP NMP-1000P networked media player retails for $450 a pop.

Fujitsu has unveiled the new fi-5950 production scanner that offers a critical component to improve scanning efficiency and time-saving tools to increase scanning automation. The scanner features image retaining function, virtual ReScan (VRS) software and hardware equipped, improved start-up times, ultra-fast scanning speeds with high quality image processing and automatic image quality checker. This ENERGY STAR and RoHS compliant scanner also supports additional enhancing software, a USB 2.0 port, optional pre and post scan imprinters and 500 page input tray. The scanner is currently available for $24,995.

Here are three of Onkyo’s brand new Windows-powered tablets, the TW117A4, TW217A5 and TW317A5. Let’s start with the first one, the TW117A4 features a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, an Intel GMA 3150 graphics and a 160GB hard drive. Followed by the TW217A5 that offers a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, an Intel GMA 500 graphics and a 32GB SSD. Finally, the TW317A5 that sports an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, an Intel GMA 3150 graphics and a 32GB SSD. As for the rest of the specs, all tablets come with the same 1GB RAM, a webcam, a card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port (TW217A5 and TW317A5), a USB port and run on Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.

Called the Aspire AZ3100-U3072, this space-saving machine is equipped with a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, a 2.0GHz AMD Athlon II 170u processor, a NVIDIA GeForce 9200 graphics card, a 3GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a webcam, a DVD drive, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, an HDMI port, two built-in speakers and is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The Acer Aspire AZ3100-U3072 retails for $599.

Coming in capacities ranging from 500GB to 1TB, these pocket-sized hard drives are equipped with a USB 3.0/2.0 interface, a built-in 256-bit data encryption, an internal shock sensor, Ramp Loading Technology and pre-loaded with the NTI BackupNow EZ software. Acer America yesterday announced the new Acer Aspire AS5745DG 3D Vision Notebook that delivers superb a 3D experience, thanks to the NVIDIA’s 3D Vision technology. The Casio EXILIM Card EX-S200 was announced at the same time as the ZOOM EX-Z800 Zoom Camera which was reported here yesterday. The EXILIM Card EX-S200 is one of the first digital cameras from the company to come equipped with Casio’s Single Frame SR Zoom, it is a feature that extends the zoom range up to 1.5 times on the camera. The Casio EXILIM Card EX-S200 comes with some main noteworthy specifications which includes a 2.7-inch LCD display, it features EXILIM Face Detection, CCD-shift image stabilization, ISO 50-3200, Premium Auto mode, Dynamic Photo function, 14.1 Megapixel image sensor, 4x optical zoom lens with 27mm wide angle view and a 2.7-inch LCD display.Other than its ability to take 14.1-Megapixel Quality Images, the camera can also record 1280×720 resolution videos at 20fps or 640×480 at 30fps. It is also powered by EXILIM Engine 5.0 image processor and will be available in the colors of silver, pink, orange, black and blue for a retail price of $179.99.

RIM has made an announcement which should put the BlackBerry Tablet Rumors and Speculations to rest, they have unveiled the Playbook at the BlackBerry Developer’s Conference in San Francisco yesterday afternoon, so no it won’t be called the BlackBerry BlackPad/Cobalt or that could be another tablet they plan to unveil at a later date. According to RIM the PlayBook is scheduled for release in early 2011 and other countries all over should be getting it later in Q2 of 2011. At first there were rumors that it should be released in November, it was rumored that it would be called the BlackPad/Cobalt, they also said that it would feature an 8.9-inch Display, then later it was said the screen would actually be 9.7-inch Display, we even heard that it would be priced at $499 in November. All these rumors are making me feel a bit woozy, am happy RIM finally made the announcement. We also now know that the BlackBerry PlayBook will run an all new BlackBerry Tablet OS which they state is “An OS Built for Developers,” and to back the OS there will be a 1GHz Dual Core Processor, 1GB of RAM and should weigh less than a pound, 0.9lbs or 400g. Thing we can expect are WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth integration, micro HDMI port, micro USB, two HD cameras (a rear 5-Megapixel and 3-Megapixel front camera), full 1080p recording capability and a 7-inch Multitouch capacitive WSVGA Display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution. We have a video that was shown to the audience at the BB DEVCON yesterday that gives a preview of the upcoming RIM BlackBerry PlayBook.

BenQ introduces a new LED-backlit display to its product line up, its the BenQ BL2400PT Full HD LED-backlit Display that was designed for business. It comes in a 24-inch screen size, the VA panel-based monitor has features such as a 250cd/m2 brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 8ms response time, a Full HD 1920×1080 resolution and a 178/178-degree viewing angle. The BenQ BL2400PT utilizes Senseye 3 technology, it has an anti-glare, matt-finish, it has ultra-flexible height adjustment system so users can can adjust the monitor for comfortable viewing. Other specifications of the BenQ BL2400PT which are notable includes its built-in 1Wx2 speaker and connectivity input ports (D-sub, DVI, DisplayPort).
