QNAP is ready to release the new NMP-1000P networked media player, which is an upgrade version of the NMP-1000. The gadget is powered by Sigma Designs’ latest 667Mhz processor, which is capable of full 1080p HD video alongside Dolby and DTS multi-channel surround sound. This gadget can double as NAS device, for file sharing and PC backup (compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux), when equipped with a 3.5-inch SATA hard drive. What’s more, the NMP-1000P can also stream files from network shares when files are available via DLNA/UPnP, SMB, and NFS. The new QNAP NMP-1000P networked media player retails for $450 a pop.

Let’s start with the first one, the TW117A4 features a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, an Intel GMA 3150 graphics and a 160GB hard drive. Followed by the TW217A5 that offers a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, an Intel GMA 500 graphics and a 32GB SSD. Finally, the TW317A5 that sports an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, an Intel GMA 3150 graphics and a 32GB SSD. RIM BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Made Official, Coming to the US in 2011
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010RIM has made an announcement which should put the BlackBerry Tablet Rumors and Speculations to rest, they have unveiled the Playbook at the BlackBerry Developer’s Conference in San Francisco yesterday afternoon, so no it won’t be called the BlackBerry BlackPad/Cobalt or that could be another tablet they plan to unveil at a later date. According to RIM the PlayBook is scheduled for release in early 2011 and other countries all over should be getting it later in Q2 of 2011. At first there were rumors that it should be released in November, it was rumored that it would be called the BlackPad/Cobalt, they also said that it would feature an 8.9-inch Display, then later it was said the screen would actually be 9.7-inch Display, we even heard that it would be priced at $499 in November. All these rumors are making me feel a bit woozy, am happy RIM finally made the announcement. We also now know that the BlackBerry PlayBook will run an all new BlackBerry Tablet OS which they state is “An OS Built for Developers,” and to back the OS there will be a 1GHz Dual Core Processor, 1GB of RAM and should weigh less than a pound, 0.9lbs or 400g. Thing we can expect are WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth integration, micro HDMI port, micro USB, two HD cameras (a rear 5-Megapixel and 3-Megapixel front camera), full 1080p recording capability and a 7-inch Multitouch capacitive WSVGA Display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution.
